Transformation of the world and methods of social measurements

Andrey Milekhin spoke at the plenary session of the "II Mironov Readings" at Lomonosov Moscow State University. During his speech, he said that social research approaches and methods of metrics today need to be transformed. According to Milekhin, sociology as a science is changing against the widespread development of "big data", and therefore it needs new approaches and methods.

The International Scientific Conference "II Mironov Readings" was held on April 4-5 at the Faculty of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University. It was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist and science organizer, long-term Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of Lomonosov Moscow State University - Vladimir Vasilyevich Mironov.

At the plenary session of the "II Mironov Readings" at Lomonosov Moscow State University, there were the following speakers:

∙ Andrey Milekhin, Doctor of Sociology, Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Evdokimov Moscow State Medical University, the founder of M-Holding and the President of Romir Research Company;

∙ Durr Renate, PhD, Professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany);

∙ John Ryder, Professor, ex-Director of the SUNI Center (USA) in Lomonosov Moscow State University;
